Journalist-writer Hasan Taşkın, Chairman of UCWEP, attended the 2nd Communication Council organized by the Presidential Directorate of Communications in Ankara.
The council, held on 28-29 July 2026, brought together representatives of the public, media, academia, private sector and civil society with the theme “Türkiye’s Century: The Century of Communication”.

The Future of Communication was Discussed in a Quick Chat
During the meeting, which lasted a short time due to the busy schedule, views were exchanged on the transformation in the field of communication, the importance of accurate and reliable information, public communication and the responsibilities of digital media.
It was noteworthy that the conversation between Taşkın and Yiğitbaşı coincided with the main agenda of the council.
Because strategic communication, public communication, digital transformation, combating disinformation and crisis communication took an important place among the main topics of the 2nd Communication Council.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Assoc. Dr. Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı took part as a speaker in the session titled “Strategic, Political and Public Oriented Communication” held on the second day of the council.
Yiğitbaşı shared the report prepared by the working group titled “Strategic Communication” with the participants during the session. The session also discussed the topics of Türkiye’s branding, political communication from traditional to digital, and public diplomacy. (Batman University)

The second day of the council, which started at ATO Congresium with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, continued at the Presidential Directorate of Communications.

The contacts made by UCWEP President Hasan Taşkın within the scope of the 2nd Communication Council were also important in terms of electronic and digital media.
Taşkın, within the scope of the council, Presidential Communications Director Prof. Dr. He also had a casual chat with Burhanettin Duran; They exchanged views on digital media, ethical journalism, accurate information and strengthening Türkiye’s communication capacity.
