Digital platforms to share developments in agriculture
UCWEP President Hasan Taşkın and Supreme Council Member Ali Büyükasar visited Agro TV, the leading television channel of the agricultural sector, and evaluated their cooperation in order to ensure that developments in the field of agriculture are spread more effectively on digital platforms. The visit aims to make the voice of agriculture stronger in the Turkish world on digital channels and to develop new projects in the sector.
UCWEP President Hasan Taşkın and Supreme Council Member Ali Büyükasar visited Agro TV, one of the most important media platforms of the agricultural sector, and met with Founding Partner and President of the Turkish World Agricultural Union Doğan Başaran. The main theme of the visit was about transferring developments in the field of agriculture to digital platforms and delivering these developments to wider audiences.
Hasan Taşkın emphasized the need to spread the innovations and developments in the agricultural sector more effectively through digital platforms. Explaining UCWEP’s digital media power and the opportunities it offers in this field, he stated that the changes in agriculture should be announced not only in Türkiye but worldwide. Taşkın said, “The future of agriculture is digital. Bringing all developments and innovations in the sector to digital platforms is an important step that will increase the power of agriculture.”
Ali Büyükasar also talked about UCWEP’s contributions to the agricultural sector and touched upon possible collaborations for Agro TV to gain wider access on digital platforms. Büyükasar said, “The rapid and effective dissemination of developments in agriculture on digital channels will contribute greatly to the progress of the sector. In this direction, we want to develop projects focusing on digitalization together with Agro TV.”
**The Power of Agriculture and the Turkish World on Digital Platforms**
Doğan Başaran, Agro TV Founding Partner and President of the Turkish World Agricultural Union, expressed his satisfaction with the visit of the UCWEP delegation and stated that Agro TV acts with the vision of making agricultural information and developments more visible on digital platforms. Başaran said, “It is of great importance that the developments in the agricultural sector are not limited only to television but also find a strong place in digital media. These studies include new plans, projects and evaluation of agricultural development situations in these regions, not only in Türkiye but also in the Turkish world. By cooperating with UCWEP in this field, we will work to bring agriculture to the place it deserves in the digital world and to reach larger audiences in the Turkish world.”
Within the scope of the visit, issues such as delivering agricultural developments to wider audiences on digital platforms and developing social media and digital media strategies were discussed in detail between UCWEP and Agro TV. One of the focal points of the meeting was the steps to be taken to spread innovations in the agricultural world more quickly and to present this information from the right sources. At the same time, developing agricultural projects specifically for the Turkish world and increasing the agricultural potential in these regions were also among the important topics.
**Future Joint Projects**
At the end of the meeting, it was stated that UCWEP and Agro TV will work on projects that will bring the agricultural world to digital platforms and enable agricultural developments to reach more people. With this cooperation, digital transformation in the agricultural sector will be accelerated and agricultural developments in the Turkish world will be represented more strongly internationally.
