UCWEP President Hasan Taşkın marks the 41st anniversary of the TRNC

UCWEP President Hasan Taşkın published a congratulatory message on the 41st anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). In his message, Taşkın stated that he respectfully commemorated the Founding President Rauf Denktaş, who led the TRNC’s struggle for independence and shaped history.

“The independence epic of the Turkish Cypriot people”
Hasan Taşkın made the following statements in his statement:
“Today, we proudly celebrate the 41st anniversary of the epic struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people for freedom, independence and sovereignty. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has taken its deserved place on the stage of history with the determined resistance and sacrifices of our beloved martyrs and heroic mujahids. I commemorate the Founding President Rauf Denktaş, who left us this honorable struggle, with respect, mercy and gratitude.”

“Rauf Denktaş’s ideas still lead the way today”
Taşkın stated that Denktaş’s principles of independence and sovereignty continue to guide the TRNC’s current stance and made the following statements:
“Rauf Denktaş has become the pride of not only the TRNC, but also the entire Turkish world, as a leader who courageously defends the rights of his people in the international arena. His determination, unity and independence principles still enlighten the future of Northern Cyprus. We must all fulfill our responsibilities for the TRNC to reach the position it deserves in the international arena.”

Call for support to the Turkish Cypriot people
Hasan Taşkın emphasized that, as UCWEP, they will continue their work to make the TRNC’s voice heard more strongly in digital media and press.
“The struggle for independence of the Turkish Cypriot people is a source of inspiration not only for Cyprus, but for all people in search of freedom and justice. On this occasion, we congratulate the 41st anniversary of the founding of the TRNC and convey our greetings to everyone who struggles for justice, freedom and peace.”

Taşkın’s message ended with a strong emphasis on loyalty to the Turkish Cypriot people and Denktaş’s ideas. On this meaningful day of TRNC, Türkiye and the Turkish world expressed their common pride and solidarity.
