The TRNC stands tall on its 40th anniversary

UCWEP President Hasan Taşkın published a congratulatory message on the 40th anniversary of the founding of the TRNC.

Taşkın stated the following in his message:

TRNC stands tall. Happy 40th Anniversary. I commemorate TRNC Founding President Rauf Denktaş with mercy and respect. May his soul rest in peace.

We celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), which was founded by the Turkish Cypriot people with a unique struggle and sacrifice, with great enthusiasm as always. Our national struggle leaders Dr. As Fazıl Küçük and Rauf Raif Denktaş always express, the highest and most honorable level a people can reach is to have an independent and sovereign state.

If we, as the Turkish Cypriot people, can live freely in our own homeland, we owe this to our heroic people, our dear martyrs, veterans, national heroes, our glorious ancestors and our homeland, the Republic of Türkiye, who made all kinds of sacrifices and sacrifices without hesitation. Fortunately, the unique support and help of the great Turkish nation, of which we are an integral part at every stage of this unique struggle, has always been with us.

The human tragedy in Palestine and the fact that these crimes against humanity we experience continue at full speed in the 21st century show how vital Türkiye’s guarantorship is for the Turkish Cypriot people. It was once again understood in its most dramatic aspects by the Turkish Cypriots who have gone through these processes and by the whole world that no development can be achieved in any other field without ensuring security in the most basic sense.
