Eid-al-Adha Message from Hasan Taşkın, President of UCWEP: “Let this Eid be a turning point where human dignity re-sprouts”

UCWEP President Hasan Taşkın, in his message on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, said that holidays are not just traditions; He stated that these are the most precious times that connect hearts and bring people closer to each other.

Taşkın included the following statements in his message:

“Eid al-Adha is the name of sharing, solidarity, forgiveness and bringing hearts together. We remember again how valuable it is to meet at the same table, to look into each other’s eyes and say ‘amen’ to the same prayer, and to open a path from heart to heart.”

Even though the shadow of oppression, injustice and suffering in some corners of the world surrounds the joy of the holiday; We will continue to contribute to the construction of a future in which human dignity will flourish again with our prayers, faith and hope.

We know that the ongoing brutality in Palestine and the silent scream of the oppressed are a deep wound in our hearts. However, we believe that these holy days can be the harbinger of a world where justice, mercy and conscience flourish again.

Our beautiful country is also going through a difficult and sensitive process. This is exactly why we have to act with more responsibility, more brotherhood and more solidarity. “This spiritual climate offered by Eid al-Adha should be a strong bridge that will carry us to our common future and better days.”

At the end of his message, Taşkın made a call to all humanity:

“The holiday; I hope that it will bring peace to the world, prosperity to our country, peace to our region, and especially hope to the oppressed regions under oppression. I wish you a holiday where our hearts are united, tables are shared, and tears turn into joy. He concluded with the words “Happy Eid al-Adha.”
