UCWEP: Israeli attacks killed 63 journalists in Gaza in two months

Hasan Taşkın, Chairman of UCWEP, stated that Israel continues its massacres by violating the law of war and said, “63 Journalists were killed by Israeli bombardments in Gaza in the last two months. Israel is committing a war crime. These war crimes will definitely have legal consequences.”
Taşkın included the following opinions in his statement:
Journalists, who are the eyes and ears of the Palestinian people, also lose their lives in the Israeli attack. Since October 7, 2023, as of December 4, 2023, 61 journalists have died as a result of Israeli attacks.
While some journalists were trying to announce the massacres to the world public in the best way possible, they became targets in the bombardments and lost their lives. Some of them were targeted by Israeli missiles with pinpoint accuracy in their homes along with their families. There is also a genocide situation that is against the law of war. International Criminal Court (ICC) The United Nations must take action. Because there are serious violations of humanitarian law, especially against civilians and journalists, during the conflict.. Examining and investigating the evidence of war crimes, the United Nations (UN) must examine and investigate the evidence of war crimes evident in its evidence as soon as possible. It must then be forwarded to the ICC.
SONG MESSAGE FROM JOURNALISTS
Journalists, who buried their relatives, families and even children amidst the bombs and massacres, and immediately returned to their jobs, announced that they would continue their duties by singing a song they composed together for the Israeli army and government, saying “We stay here, we will live here and the songs will be better.”
HERE ARE THE LYRICS OF THAT SONG
We will stay here, so that the pain will end, we will live here, the songs will be more beautiful, we will stay here, so that the pain will end, we will live here, the songs will be more beautiful, My homeland, my homeland, my homeland, my pride, my homeland, My homeland, my homeland, my homeland.
Despite the traps of the enemies, Despite the troubles of the enemies,
We will strive to spread abundance, we will strive to go higher and reach the peaks.
JOURNALISTS ARE NOT SAFE
While the conflicts between Israel and Palestine have continued since October 7, unfortunately, journalists are also paying the price of the conflicts. The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) stated in its latest statement that the number of journalists who lost their lives in conflicts reached 61. October was the deadliest month for journalists since CPJ began recording journalist deaths in 1992.
The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) announced that 54 Palestinian, 4 Israeli and 3 Lebanese journalists and media workers lost their lives in the clashes as of October 4. He also shared the information that 11 journalists were injured, 3 were missing and 19 were arrested. CPJ also stated that Israeli forces will not be able to ensure the safety of journalists working in the Gaza Strip on Friday, after a week-long humanitarian pause for news agencies.
