D-8 Secretary-General Imam calls on Turkish businesspeople to invest

Ambassador Isiaka Abdulkadir Imam, Secretary General of the Developing 8 Countries (D-8) Organization, called on Turkish business people to invest in D-8 countries.

According to the written statement made by UCWEP, Imam met with D-8 Countries Initiative Platform President Hasan Ali Cesur and his accompanying delegation in Istanbul.

In his speech, Imam, National Vision leader Prof. Dr. He stated that D-8 countries, established under the leadership of Necmettin Erbakan, offer important investment opportunities to Turkish business people.

Stating that, as the D-8 General Secretariat, they are ready to encourage these investments and pave the way for Turkish business people, Imam said, “We have serious potential, especially in the energy fields. We are ready to offer various opportunities to Turkish business people.” he said.

Hasan Ali Cesur also noted that they will carry out studies to introduce investment opportunities in D-8 countries to Turkish businessmen and improve cooperation in this field.

Cesur said, “We will present studies to our Ambassador General about which businessman can invest in which field.” he said.

Hasan Taşkın, Chairman of UCWEP, stated that they are ready to support the work of D-8 countries.

Taşkın said, “Since the establishment of D-8, the Turkish press has given importance and supported this formation. Today, we are ready to do our part.”

During the meeting, investment opportunities that could be realized in D-8 countries and cooperation models in this field were discussed.

Secretary General Imam was accompanied by Economy Director Punjul S. Nugraha and Media and Protocol Assistant İlham Uludağ, and Hasan Ali Cesur was accompanied by Hasan Taşkın and business people Süleyman Saral, Fatih Poyraz, Ahmet Tevfik Cesur and Berat Cesur.
