Hasan Taşkın: Humanity must face its conscience in 2025

PRESIDENT OF UCWEP HASAN TAŞKIN: “2025 IS NOT A YEAR TO BE CELEBRATED, HUMANITY SHOULD FACE ITS CONSCIENCE”
UCWEP President Hasan Taşkın condemned the genocide and brutality committed by Israel in Gaza and stated that this tragedy, which left 2024 as a dark stain on human history, is a major obstacle to carrying hope and enthusiasm to 2025.
In his statement, Taşkın stated that humanity is facing a great test in Gaza, with targeted hospitals, destroyed houses and innocent children dying. Emphasizing that Israel’s attacks target not only the people of Gaza, but also the conscience of all humanity, Taşkın said, “The world that ignores this tragedy has turned its back on human values.”
“2024 WILL BE REMEMBERED AS THE YEAR OF GENOCIDE AND PAIN”
Taşkın stated that the events in Gaza have engraved 2024 in history as the year of genocide and human tragedy and said, “The suffering of innocent civilians struggling to survive under bombs has deepened with the silence of the international community and the United Nations. The year 2024 will be remembered as the common shame of humanity.”
“2025 IS NOT A YEAR TO CELEBRATE”
Hasan Taşkın stated that 2025 cannot be seen as a period to celebrate after this human tragedy. “The innocent blood shed in Gaza has made all kinds of celebrations in the world meaningless. The year 2025 should not be a year of celebration, but a year of reckoning of the conscience of humanity. This should be a year of confrontation and reconstruction,” he said.
“THE WORLD MUST TAKE ACTION”
Taşkın called on the international community and leaders to take action against this genocide. “We call on all the people of the world and non-governmental organizations to raise their voices against this crime against humanity in order to restore justice, protect the innocent in Gaza and prevent this painful situation from happening again,” he said.
UCWEP President Hasan Taşkın concluded his statement by saying, “This pain should not be forgotten and we will continue to be the voice of truth.”
